How to create an FTP Account in cPanel?

To create an FTP Account in cPanel Hosting server then, these step provide you a path to configure FTP account successfully.
cPanel allow you to access all files and folders via FTP by using your username and password. You can also create an FTP user account for a specific folder you don’t want to allow access to your root files then you can create a separate FTP Account.

  • Sign in to your cPanel account.
  • Scroll down to the “Files” section, click on “FTP Accounts” Icon.

  • now give the following information Under “Add FTP Account”
    Log in “New_User”, “Password” (manually or by password generator), “Directory”: If you want to give access to the entire /public_html folder, enter “public_html” or change the folder path like “public_html/ New_User “ your FTP user will be granted access to only the “New_User” folder. Your FTP user is unable to access folders outside of the “public_html/ New_User “ folder.
    –> Quota: Specify the New_User or select “unlimited”.

  • Now finally click on the “Create FTP Account” button.
    All done now you have a FTP Account. you can access your FTP Account by using your username and password.
